John Lutterbie
Founder
John Lutterbie was a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Theatre Arts and the Department of Art at Stony Brook University. He was founder and co-director of the International Network for Cognition, Theatre, and Performance. His research focuses on linking theories of aesthetics with those of time, phenomenology and embodied cognition. His work includes An Introduction to Theatre, Performance, and the Cognitive Sciences, Toward a General Theory of Acting: Cognitive Science and Performance (Palgrave Macmillan) and Hearing Voices: Modern Drama and the Problem of Subjectivity (University of Michigan Press).
